If you live near Boston, it may not look or feel like spring just yet (we’re getting there!), but there are plenty of upcoming events that will help us put the cold winter months behind us!
If you’re feeling artsy, make sure to check out the Museum of Fine Art’s annual spring celebration, Art in Bloom. During the last weekend in April, the museum pairs some of its artwork with floral arrangements. The event also hosts floral arrangement classes and lectures, guided tours, and a market selling floral and garden-inspired items. Catch a preview of the event on the night of April 27.
SoWa, the popular arts market in South Boston, starts its season on May 6. Short for “South of Washington,” this trendy spot is a perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon. Every Sunday through October, you can visit local vendors selling their handcrafted products and enjoy live music while taste-testing different foods from the farmers’ market. Also, make sure to check out the nearby vintage market!
Looking for ideas for Mother’s Day? Try a visit to the Arnold Arboretum for Lilac Sunday. This annual event has been held since 1908 and it’s a great place to take a stroll through the arboretum’s impressive collection of lilac plants.
Hopefully warmer weather will catch up to Boston soon, but at least there are some great upcoming events to look forward to!
