Has the colder weather left you in a reading slump? I’ve found that the best way to get out of a literary drought is to pick up a well-written book. One of the best books I’ve read recently was Paper Towns by John Green; I loved Green’s characters! Here are some suggestions for your next read from the PSG staff:

Annette: Scythe by Neal Shusterman

This violent dystopian novel is perfect for readers seeking action-packed stories.

Colleen: The Outsider by Stephen King and Someday, Someday, Maybe by Lauren Graham

Both authors have a unique writing style, and a character from the Mr. Mercedes trilogy makes a cameo in The Outsider.

Jamaica: Word by Word: The Secret Life of Dictionaries by Kory Stamper

This book is about the author’s experience working for Merriam-Webster.

Kate: Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple

The writing is “funny, clever, heartfelt, and unique.”

Nora: To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han and Carrie by Stephen King

The books describe “two very different high school experiences!”
