Hamilton has come to Boston! And some PSG staff members have already been lucky enough to see the hit musical since its opening. Nora’s verdict: “Hamilton was amazing! My brother cried the whole time, so it’s definitely an emotional musical!” Annette shares Nora’s (and her brother’s) enthusiasm: “The talent of the touring cast is second only to Lin-Manuel Miranda’s brilliant writing. It was an amazing performance, and the best show I’ve ever seen.”
But Hamilton tickets can be hard to come by. So, if you find yourself in the Boston area, here are some other great shows that will be around in the upcoming months:
- Check out the Boston Ballet’s performance of The Nutcracker this December! Although Tchaikovsky’s music may be familiar, the Boston Ballet’s take on this wintertime classic always seems innovative each year.
- If comedy’s more your style, check out School of Rock, which is coming to Boston in February! This adaptation of the 2003 movie starring Jack Black was Andrew Lloyd Webber’s first new show on Broadway since 1971, and has gained widespread acclaim.
- Les Misérables will arrive at the Boston Opera House in April. Get swept up in this epic of revolution-era France and experience the fervor in such songs as “I Dreamed a Dream” and “Do You Hear the People Sing?”
These are just a few of the shows that will soon be coming to Boston. Check your local listings for other plays and musicals in your area!
