Katy Rosen joins PSG as a Summer 2017 Intern. A junior at Smith College, she double majors in English and French studies.

Katy brings to PSG skills from a varied background. She previously worked at a circus camp in her home state of Vermont where she was the creator and administrator of the camp’s blog as well as the social media manager. She also worked as an assistant at one of Smith’s libraries. Surrounded by shelves of books, Katy, an avid writer and reader, felt right at home. Her favorite read is Rupi Kaur’s Milk and Honey.

Outside of the world of words, Katy has an impressive amount of circus skills at her disposal. She spent seven years working at the aforementioned circus camp. In addition to her social media duties, Katie was a counselor at the camp, and her specialty was teaching children how to walk on a tightwire! She’s more than ready to juggle whatever PSG throws at her, with minimal clowning around. She brings her sense of humor with her to the job, though; one of her favorite quotes is by Groucho Marx: ”If you find it hard to laugh at yourself, I would be happy to do it for you.”

Katy’s dream job would be to work as the head editor of a fashion magazine—à la The Devil Wears Prada. She’d also write poetry on the side (under a pseudonym, so as not to gain anything through celebrity). In the meantime, she comes to PSG with interests in curating content and gaining a deeper understanding of the publishing industry. Welcome, Katy!
