Erin Sherry joins PSG as a Spring 2018 Intern, and she is excited to learn all about the world of professional publishing and editing. She is currently a junior in Emerson College’s Writing, Literature & Publishing program, and is pursuing a BFA in Fiction Writing alongside a minor in Art History.

At Emerson, Erin works as a copyeditor for the Berkeley Beacon newspaper, as a fiction reader for Gauge Magazine and as the Editorial Assistant for Undergraduate Students for Publishing’s Wilde Press. While studying abroad in the Netherlands as part of Emerson’s Kasteel Well program, she was the fiction editor of the literary magazine The Black Swan. Erin loves to travel almost as much as she loves curling up at home with a good book.

Previously, Erin was a Writers’ Room Intern with the nonprofit youth literacy center 826 Boston, and she hopes to continue bringing to life her childhood dreams of becoming an author, illustrator or editor. Her favorite book is The History of Love by Nicole Krauss, and she’s not ashamed to admit she’s watched all seven seasons of Gilmore Girls about nine times each.

When she’s not in class or at PSG, Erin can most likely be found waiting tables at Boston’s Trident Booksellers and Café and nursing a strong pot of coffee. She can’t wait to learn more from the PSG team about the ins and outs of the publishing industry, and PSG is excited to see what the semester will bring for her!
