Caitlin Dwyer joined PSG in January 2010 as a Publishing Intern for the spring semester. She recently graduated from Emerson College, the nation’s only four-year college devoted exclusively to the study of communications and performing arts. While working toward her BA in Writing, Literature and Publishing, she took several copyediting courses and made the Dean’s list several times. In her spare time, she tutors children in English, reading, and writing.
As a PSG intern, Caitlin received real-world, hands-on experience in all facets of publishing including editorial, production, project management and marketing. Since starting here, she quickly found her niche in the sales & marketing department, and recently joined us full-time as our new Sales & Marketing Coordinator.
This isn’t her first stint in the publishing industry, last summer Caitlin worked as an intern for a magazine publisher in New York City, commuting over two hours each day from New Jersey. She also worked for three years at Bed Bath & Beyond; although it’s been over a year since she left the store, she still finds herself identifying BB&B products in any room she’s in and making completely accurate estimates about their price.
Her other claims to fame? She makes a mean chili and has the unparalleled ability to identify movie quotes. Her favorite movie quote? “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”—from John Hughes’s Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
Like her colleagues at PSG, Caitlin is a reader. Her favorite author is David Sedaris, her favorite book is Ken Kesey’s One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and she can’t live without her Esquire Magazine or New York Times.
Energetic, friendly, and motivated, Caitlin is a welcome addition to the PSG team.
