Alex Belloli joins PSG as a Spring 2018 Intern. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth in 2015. Though he began his education as a Computer Engineering major, his love for writing ultimately led him to a degree in English instead.

Writing has always been a creative outlet for Alex. His passion has continuously helped him overcome adversity. It has also fueled his dream of becoming an author whose books will have a meaningful impact on people’s lives.

Alex has held some interesting positions in a variety of companies. One of the most interesting is his work in market research with a group that ad-tests movie trailers. In his role there, Alex watches multiple trailers for the same movie, then analyzes, reviews and reports the viewers’ reactions back to the production companies. This information is used to make different version of each trailer.

He’s tested films like Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, The Mummy (2017) and many more. The Marvel movies are his favorite to test, and he particularly enjoys watching action scenes without any CGI because it’s humorous to “see grown men play-fighting in green suits and blocky costumes” and “Robert Downey Jr. trying to look intimidating while wearing a green morph suit with red foam shoulder pads on.”

PSG will be Alex’s first foray into the editorial field, and he’s thrilled to be one step closer to achieving his dreams of being a writer.

In the future Alex hopes to write fiction, which will undoubtedly involve some satire, as he’s always able to find humor in unpleasant situations. PSG is happy to welcome Alex—and his sense of humor!—to the team.
