Fun Fact
Logan International Airport is built almost entirely on top of land that, before a landfill project, used to be Boston Harbor. Previously known as Boston Airport, it was dedicated on September 8, 1923. The name was changed to General Edward Lawrence Logan Airport in 1943. Logan was a lifelong resident of South Boston, a 1897 Harvard graduate, and was a General in the National Guard.
