Technology Product in the Classroom

“I have always been interested in technology product in the classroom. As a former developmental editor, I was knee-deep in editing accounting software and made it a practice to get in “over my head” on the programming end of things. So I naturally gravitate toward articles and updates on new digital product and initiatives for the K-12 market.

Recently, I read an article about the Schools Interoperability Framework Association (SIF), which seems to be getting a lot of press recently. The SIF is an industry initiative to create technical specifications so that instructional and administrative k-12 software will work together seamlessly. And coincidentally, at the recent summer meeting of NASTA, SIF was an important topic on the agenda addressing k-12 technology today.
